Estimate of the time that Humanity will go extinct or civilization will collapse. The HUMANITY DOOMSDAY CLOCK moves forward to 2125 due to US President trump's abandonment of climate change goals. Clock moved to 90 seconds to doom at December 2023. Apologies to Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists for using the name.

General Strike: US Women May 11, 2022

The forces of repression are dismantling freedom for women in the United States.

We call upon ALL American Women to STRIKE: Withhold ALL your contributions for one day Wednesday May 11, 2022.

Let men change diapers, wash dishes, answer the phone, clean their mothers' body, etc., while women stay home and watch TV or read.

The economy and the government will shut down for a day.

Men will fear another Strike. Women will have power to stop repressive forces.

THIS IDEA HAS SUCCEEDED BEFORE:

Women struck in Iceland for one day: ' 24 October 1975 - when 90% of women in the country decided to demonstrate their importance by going on strike....Banks, factories and some shops had to close, as did schools and nurseries - leaving many fathers with no choice but to take their children to work. There were reports of men arming themselves with sweets and colouring pencils to entertain the crowds of overexcited children in their workplaces. Sausages - easy to cook and popular with children - were in such demand the shops sold out..'

Things changed in Iceland; see it here..
