Hey Barry:
Supposin we actually have a deflation.
It will feel like a big freeze - you won't be able to move. You will be stuck where you are. You will have only what you have and no more.
If you can survive on what you have you'll be in good shape, but some of us will freeze to death - in reality and metaphor.
Here's how Ezra Pound puts it:
Winter is icumen in,
Lhude sing Goddamm,
Raineth drop and staineth slop,
And how the wind doth ramm!
Sing: Goddamm.
Skiddeth bus and sloppeth us,
Freezeth river, turneth liver,
An ague hath my ham.
Damm you; Sing: Goddamm.
Goddamm, Goddamm, 'tis why I am, Goddamm,
So 'gainst the winter's balm.
Sing goddamm, damm, sing goddamm,
Sing goddamm, sing goddamm, DAMM.
Your pal,
