Immigration UPDATE February 3, 2017 - DISOBEY
UPDATE: February 3, 2017.
Federal Judges in Seattle and Boston have today issued seemingly contradictory rulings on trump's immigration action.
If trump requires CBP officers to enforce one rule over another, it will result in a real Constitutional crisis and place the United States of America in mortal danger from inconsistent enforcement of immigration rules.
The proper action for CBP officers is to revert to the protocols in effect before trump's order was created and to act exactly as they would have acted January 19, 2017, before trump was inaugurated.
There should be no change until and unless the United States Supreme Court directs such a change.
***********************************
By now it is clear that the trump administration has little or no ability to create or implement any legal, Constitutional or effective regulations or laws.
Therefore, the best course of action for all Federal employees charged with enforcing Federal laws or regulations is to act exactly as they would have acted January 19, 2017, before trump was inaugurated.
New regulations should be ignored until they have been reviewed for Constitutionality by a Federal Judge.
The proper response to an order that has not been so reviewed is this:
"I will not obey your orders until they have been reviewed by a Judge. You may arrest me, sue me or get the fuck out of my way."
