ICE Lies to Cops

ICE officials told Police in Santa Cruz CA that a planned raid targeting MS-13 members was a focused raid and that no status offenses would be prosecuted.

ICE lied.

ICE officers did in fact arrest persons with status offenses only; then they denied they did so.

This action harms public safety since persons who have cooperated with police are now reluctant to do so.
