I am grateful to live where no man is above the law. Merrick Garland and the DOJ will follow the law where the facts lead. If they find a person has committed a crime, they will prosecute the person. And, if a jury finds the accused party guilty, he will serve a prison sentence.
As Charles Linehan put it:
There are some deluded folks who may demonstrate against lawful actions taken by law enforcement and who may also threaten the government officials carrying out the law. Threats against law officers are crimes. The folks making the threats will be prosecuted and, if found guilty, they will be sent to jail.
There’s an old saying “if you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime “
