Volodymyr Zelensky is A World Class Hero

Just like former legends, FDR, Harry Truman, George Washington, Giuseppe Garibaldi, Winston Churchill and many more - Zelensky saw an Evil force coming to destroy his country, Ukraine.

He said: 'NO'

'NO' - to torture, raping, trafficking, targeted murder of civilians.

'NO' - Russia stops here.

Leading the fearless Ukrainians, he stopped the invasion plan cold and set about destroying the economy of Russia.

Today, Putin is losing the war. Zelensky has revolutioalized war using new technologies Russia cannot compete.

Muscovites now fear Ukrainian drones in their home districts, just as Ukrainians have suffered Russian war crimes in all the cities and their homes, hospitals and schools.

Here's how he did it, per news stories gathered by Gemini.

Volodymyr Zelensky’s ability to halt Russia's initial goal of a rapid, total conquest of Ukraine—and to maintain a heavily deadlocked frontline—comes down to a mix of symbolic leadership, masterclass diplomacy, and adaptive military strategy.

While the war remains a brutal conflict of attrition, Zelensky’s specific actions prevented the collapse of the Ukrainian state through several key pillars:

1. The Decision to Stay (Symbolic Leadership)

When Russia launched its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, intelligence agencies expected Kyiv to fall within days. Western nations offered Zelensky evacuation, to which he famously responded: "I need ammunition, not a ride."

By staying in Kyiv and filming self-shot smartphone updates from the streets, he achieved two critical objectives:

Prevented a power vacuum: It signaled to the Ukrainian military and citizens that the government had not abandoned them, catalyzing a massive national resistance movement.

Upended Russian assumptions: The Kremlin’s plan relied on the government fleeing or folding quickly. Zelensky's presence forced Russia into a protracted, conventional war for which its logistics were unprepared.

2. Unlocking Western Military Aid (The Diplomatic Pipeline)

Zelensky utilized his background in communication to turn Ukraine’s defense into a global cause. He bypassed standard diplomatic red tape by addressing foreign parliaments directly via video link, tailoring his message to each nation’s history (e.g., evoking the Blitz in the UK or Pearl Harbor in the US).

This persistent pressure systematically broke through Western "red lines" on heavy weaponry, shifting aid through a massive progression:

He gathered weapons in this phase.

Early War - Javelins, NLAWs, Stinger missiles Shattered Russian armored columns around Kyiv.

Mid War - HIMARS, Patriot Air Defense systems Destroyed Russian ammo depots, protected airspace.

Later/Current - Abrams/Leopard tanks, F-16 fighter jets, ATACMS Allowed deep strikes behind enemy lines and contested the Black Sea.

3. Asymmetric Warfare & Deep-Strike Strategies

Recognizing that Ukraine cannot match Russia person-for-person or shell-for-shell in a pure war of attrition, Zelensky's administration leaned heavily into domestic tech innovation and high-risk asymmetric operations:

The Drone Revolution: Ukraine rapidly scaled up domestic production of first-person view (FPV) drones and long-range strike drones.

Crippling the Black Sea Fleet: Despite not having a traditional navy, Ukraine used specialized naval drones and Western cruise missiles to destroy or force the retreat of a significant portion of Russia's Black Sea Fleet, effectively reopening Ukraine's grain shipping corridors.

Targeting Russian Infrastructure: Ukrainian forces aggressively expanded their intermediate-range strike campaigns inside Russian borders, successfully hitting oil refineries (like the Kapotnya refinery in Moscow), drone depots, and supply lines to drain Russia's economic and military liquidity.

4. Aggressive Geopolitical Maneuvering

Zelensky has continuously shifted his diplomatic strategy to pressure Russia from new angles. Rather than relying solely on the West, Ukraine expanded its networking to the Gulf states and put direct pressure on Russian allies.

For instance, Zelensky issued direct ultimatums to Belarus regarding Russian-installed signal repeaters on the border that were guiding Russian drones. This aggressive posturing successfully forced Belarus to disable the equipment to avoid Ukrainian strikes, actively disrupting Russian precision strike capabilities.

The Reality: While Zelensky has successfully prevented Russia from achieving its maximalist goal of erasing Ukraine as an independent nation, the conflict remains locked in a high-stakes gridlock. Russia still occupies roughly 20% of Ukrainian territory, and the war has forced Ukraine into making difficult structural choices regarding its long-term economy, conscription laws, and the timing of future elections under martial law.
