While there is a positive event which may serve to delay the DOOMSDAY event, several other events are more negative.

On balance, Humanity lost at least one more year and is now forecast to go extinct in 2146.

The positive event was the citizen march of about 300,000 people in New York together with similar demonstrations around the world; political pressure from masses of citizens is perhaps the most effective lobbying tool available. A second negative event is that Ebola has escaped from the areas of its origination and threatens to infect as many as one million people.
