THE DEMOCRACY PROJECT - 1

The National Security of the United States of America requires that a strong opposition, coalition structure be created so that we can re-establish a functioning Representative Democracy when the current administration of Donald Trump ends.

THE DEMOCRACY PROJECT establishes a shadow government with individual volunteers with sufficient background and expertise to oversee each such area. The Shadow Government should track political appointees and Federal programs that have been installed and/or terminated or otherwise affected under the current administration. Additionally, the shadow government should recommend which appointees and programs should be terminated and which programs should be re-installed. The Shadow Government may make personnel recommendations, but a new government will suggest individuals to occupy the various offices.

The Shadow Government should have a counterpoint for every Cabinet Secretary as well as all the other critical areas: SCOTUS, CIA, NSA, all Armed forces and others as necessary.

It should be named THE DEMOCRACY PROJECT rather than the Democrat party since it will be separate from and entirely different from the Party. Also, volunteers will be accepted based on their experience and qualifications without regard to their political affiliation. 

An optional project might be to identify the programs critical to the National Security which are contracted out to private parties. Those programs should be nationalized and not left in private hands.

We need THE DEMOCRACY PROJECT to ensure the survival of our Democratic form of governance.

Here's why we need THE DEMOCRACY PROJECT:

History suggests a number of possible outcomes for a country after a dictator passes. [This idea originated in a TikTok video; I am not a historian and any errors here are my own.]

1. Hollowed out Democracy - The country may retain the forms and rituals of a Democratic country but the governing power is actually controlled by a few oligarchs. This governing system has been unstable and has led to Autocrats tasking power, as in Weimar Germany.

2. A Billionaire, or coalition of Billionaires, takes power and rules as a tyrant using the institutions and people who served the deceased tyrant.

3. Sectional War, or, the Balkanization of the country - Various groupings of states come together to form small countries which then compete with each other. For example, California, Oregon and Washington might form nations and compete with other groups. There might be a NorthEast group, or a Southern group. A critical question in that event is which group gets control of the nuclear devices.

4. An organized and effective force is created which ensures that Democratic rule of law continues. The United States does not have such a force today. The purpose of the Democracy Project is to facilitate its creation.
