The 3rd Yulia Navalnaya Expert Forum on Post-Putin transition has come to an end.
Here’s what happened:
The Forum brought together 38 experts from a wide range of fields — economists, lawyers, human rights defenders, journalists, and other specialists.
This is another step toward ensuring that the democratic opposition has not just an abstract “vision of the future,” but a clear, practical roadmap for change in post-Putin Russia, with precise solutions for the transition period.
Participants worked in several expert groups to develop recommendations on key issues:
Here are links to the recommendations:
These are expert solutions to complex problems. But we are confident we are moving in the right direction, and that these conversations need to happen now.
A particularly important part of the Forum was the participation of 10 Russian university students from different educational institutions. Once again, young people were invited so their perspectives on political transition and the country’s future could be heard.
We will continue collecting and refining proposals for building a new Russia — step by step, block by block. Work on the program for change will continue at the next Forum.
Change requires not only courage, but preparation — and that is exactly what we are doing.
